This course's main purpose is to educate students the basics of Korean medicine. This course helps students to understand Korean medical terminology, the structure and function of the human body, as well as basic diagnosis and treatment theories.

Through this course, students will acquire basic knowledge of chinese character which is the foundation of Korean medicine. Based on this, we can deepen understanding for Korean Medicine and chinese character.

The main purpose of this course is to provide you with a knowledge on basis statistical methods for the analysis of health. In this course, you will learn how to apply, test, and interpret medical data. By end of this course, you will be able to apply appropriate statistical techniques for managing common types of medical data and interpret the results of statistical analyses and critically evaluate the use of statistics in the medical literature. This course is intended to give students a broad overview of biology related to the human body. It is designed to acquaint students with fundamental terms, concepts, and principles of human biology as they relate to the individual, society, and the environment. This course will give students in College of Korean Medicine a greater understanding, appreciation and working knowledge of the biology of humans.

This course studies the data structure and relationships of oriental medicine knowledge, examples of database construction, and principles of artificial intelligence.

This class will explore interdisciplinary aspects of medicinal plant history, characters, ingredients, use, and therapeutic effects that can help to increase understanding Herbology.

This course provides students with systematic anatomy, observing organs consisting of human body, and topographic anatomy, observing by each part.

Clinial Herbology I is a study that educates the treatment principles of herbal medicines including history, pharmacology, process, and management based on Korean medicine concept. From this study, students will be able to systematically get knowledge for using herbal medicines in clinical practice.

We should aim to understand about grammar of Chinese character and Chinese classical culture for translating oriental medicine classics.

This course will provide the health-related English knowledge and the ability to understand the oriental medicine classic.

By studying the history of Oriental medicine, we understand today's medical condition objectively. Based on this, we will provide future direction of clinical medicine.

Biochemistry is a science that studies the reactions and regulatory processes of biomolecules within the cells, a unit of life. By studying the function and metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, and nucleic acids, students will be able to understand the basic principles of life phenomenon. This lecture also cover the nutrition including vitamins and metabolic disease.

In this course, students will learn the functions and dynamic interaction of Jang-Bu(藏腑)· Meridian(經絡) based on the theory of Yin-yang, five elements of the universe and six Qi of nature, and build up their prior knowledge before learning the clinical medicine.

This course improves reading skills for oriental medicine classics through 『Yellow Empero's Canon Internal Medicine』. Based on this, we will acquire clinical skills produced from the theory.

This course enables students to learn about the morphological changes that occur during the development process of the human body and to understand the causes of congenital abnormalities that can arise during this process.

Through this course, students can learn the basic organization and the structure of each organ that consist of the human body and develop the ability to apply clinical practice by studying the mechanism how the organs are correlated.

Clinical Herbology is a study that educates the principles of traditional Korean medicine (TKM) treatment, origin of plant, nature/taste, meridian, efficacy, prescription, and side effect, based on the theory of TKM. Through this class, students can improve their ability to use herbal medicines and application in clinics.

Immunology is a biomedical science that studies the immune system. The lecture will cover the development and function of immune cells and lymphoid organs, and the characteristics and regulatory mechanisms of humoral and cellular immune responses. The medical applications of immune systems will also be lectured.

Microbiology course introduces the pathogens which cause human disease. This course also teach the mechanisms of microbial pathogenesis and the host response, and the scientific approaches that are used to investigate these processes. Especially, this course will focus on microbiology within a medical context. Students will gain a general understanding of prokaryotes and viruses. They also will learn how microbial pathogens cause disease in human body. Additionally, the treatment of infectious disease and global public health will be discussed.

The main purpose of this course is to learn the principles of Yangsaeng and Mibyung, and to learn various types of Yangsaeng, and to learn how to apply them to patients to prevent various symptoms and diseases. This course, using clinical cases, provides an understanding of drug action from the molecular-targeted level to patient-level integrated in the framework of human physiology, biochemistry and pathophysiology.

Based on the basic principles of Korean traditional medicine, complex nature of human body and numerous diseases are understood and classified according to various theories such as essential Qi, Yin-yang, heat-cold and so on. Patterns and syndromes of diseases , which are caused by internal and external pathogens, are taught to students in preparation for clinical practice.

This lecture instructs the pathogenesis and diagnostic method of diseases through lecture and practice.

Through this course, students acquire practical acupuncture point of 12 original meridian(regular channels) and odd meridian(8 extra meridians) etc., and practice method of acupoint comparison, placing emphasis on comparing specific reaction with fundamental reaction as well as positioning exact location.

On the basis of herbology and pharmacology, this lecture instructs the details, organization theory and the clinical methods of various herbal formulas.

Human Physiology and Lab researches human body function and regulatory mechanisms at the cellular, organ and system levels for maintaining biological phenomenon such as homeostasis and cell signaling, studying integrated processes of organ systems.

Trends and methods in convergence research is a course to understand the latest Korean medicine research topics and methods by reviewing academic papers in the field of complementary and alternative medicine and integrative medicine. Through this, students can learn about Korean medicine research trends and research methodologies, and how to critically read academic papers.

This class is the study of herbal processing. By learning about changes in the nature of crude herbal materials, diversification of usage methods, reduction of side effects, and increased herbal storage and distribution according to herbal processing methods, one can learn the correct processing methods and utilize them appropriately in clinical practice.

Experimental physiology is a subject in which students experience and understand the basic theories of animal behavioral experiments through practice. You can learn basic knowledge about Korean medicine and psycho-neurobiology through the process of designing, conducting, and analyzing the results of behavioral experiments.

This course is to acquire knowledge about Oriental medicine by reading the original text of ancient literature other than 『黃帝內經(huangdineijing)』.

Research on the views of the human body and pathology as presented in the Sang-han-ron and On-byung-hak, aims to elucidate the transmission routes and pathological phenomena of various infectious diseases. Furthermore, it cultivates the ability to classify and differentiate diseases according to the concepts of Traditional Korean Medicine.

This course focuses on the human endocrine system including hormone synthesis, action, control mechanisms, physiological outcomes and disease states. The goal of this course is for students to acquire current knowledge of the endocrine system to understand clinical characteristic of diseases.

This course enables students to learn about organogenesis of the human body from the perspectives of ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm. It also aims to help students understand congenital abnormalities related to these processes by analyzing problems in developmental function.

Diagnosis in Korean Medicine is a general judgement about diseases and syndromes as well as state of health of the human body by collecting and analyzing clinical materials on the basis of its diagnostic methods. Diagnostics of Korean Medicine is a discipline to study the basic theories, methods and techniques of diagnosis in Korean Medicine. The diagnostic methods of Korean Medicine include mainly the four techniques of diagnosis, namely, interrogation, inspection, auscultation and olfaction, pulse-feeling and palpation and differentiation of syndromes.

Pathological states in human are principally classified into six courses, and the causes, symptoms, and treatments are studied accordingly.

In this course, students develop ability to diagnose, when disease appeared with several symptoms, history, physical diagnosis, laboratory test method and medical examination.

This course will introduce internal medicine that understands the disease of hepatobiliary, gastrointestinal, hematopoietic, pancreatic and urogenital system. This course gives an opportunity to understand the psychogenic disease and the disease of cardiovascular, respiratory and central nervous system.

This is a course that helps students to study the acupuncture methods and treatment of acupuncture points of twelve main meridians and eight extra meridians, extraordinary acupuncture points and ashi points, etc. This course also helps students to research and develop the basic theory of Korean medicine and the physicochemical and physical theories of modern medicine. This course will study treatment methods for diseases, physiology and pathology of the women’s reproductive organs.

Medical device and Korean medicine & practice : This course to introduce a medical device which is instruments based on a theory of Korean medicine and modern technology by scientific theory and practice.

This course is designed to provide students with knowledge of various dermatological diseases as well as tumors found in tissue or organs. Based on the principles of Korean Medicine, this course will enable students to become professional clinicians in this area.

Internal Medicine of Liver System is the subject that require reasonable understanding of hepatobiliary digestive and hematopoietic system disease, through understanding the cause of symptom and diagnostic treatment method to liver, gall bladder and spleen etc.(liver of Korean Medicine)

This course leads to understand cause, symptom, diagnosis and treatment of cardio-vascular and neurolodic disease.

Internal medicine for understanding of gastrointestinal disorders, pancreatic disease and peritoneal disease, through study for pathology, diagnosis, treatment and prescription of 脾, 胃, 小腸, 大腸(Korean medicine concept of digestive tract) symptoms.

As a part of Internal Medicine of Korean Medicine, this lecture focuses mainly on lung and respiratory diseases.

This course aims at urinary as well as reproductive system disease, targeting Korean medical cause, symptom, diagnosis, treatment, and a method of prevention.

This course is to study the structure, physiology, and pathology concerning this Ophthal &Otorhinolaryngology with the basis of Korean Medicine. Allowing a student to grow a perspective, that is based on the concept of Korean medicine, this course would aim to help students achieve a successful clinical practice in this area.

Rehabilitation medicine of Korean medicine aims to prevent, treat and manage various diseases that occur in the musculoskeletal and nervous system of the human body. Representatively, it aims to improve health and prevent various diseases by treating painful conditions in the spine, joints or muscles, and paralytic diseases in the nervous and muscular system and body shape and posture imbalance caused by various causes including obesity. In order to achieve this goal, herbal medicine, acupuncture, various manual therapy including chuna, doin, physical therapy, fasting, homeopathy are used according to conditions.

In this course, students comprehend biological and physico-chemical test for diagnosis and treatment of disease, mainly hematology, clinical biochemistry, bacteriology, immunology, parasitology as well as pathology diagnostics.

Through this course, student study acupoint, acupuncture method, and taking charge of a case considering 12 original meridian(regular channels) as well as odd meridian(8 extra meridians) etc.

By utilizing of imaging diagnosis equipment, it adds accuracy and objectivity of Korean medical diagnosis, so that students can study treatment of disease to enhance the usefulness of clinical application.

Through Pediatrics of Korean Medicine practice, students can obtain problem-solving information on diagnosis and treatments and acquire the clinical skills about pediatric diseases.

In this course, students understand flexible access for the various diagnostic methods, and develop utilization ability about Korean medicine neuropsychiatry.

This course concentrates on clinical internal medicine of otorhinolaryngology practice at the aspect of Korean medicine.

Through this course, students study acupuncture treatment and symptom by applying acupuncture including human body.

This course focuses on the practice of Sasang Constitutional Medicine.

Based on the theory of oriental rehabilitation medicine that has already been learned, the goal of this subject is to learn and practice the diagnosis and treatment methods of various spinal and joint diseases, central or peripheral paralysis diseases, sports injuries, and obesity, which are encountered in actual clinical practice.

The primary aim of this course FORENSIC MEDICINE is to offer a basic and practical knowledge with the interpretation of medical evidences associated-legal problem in the cases of unexplained or violent deaths and injury. Furthermore, the related forensic science theory and technique will be presented.

Through this course, students study way to deal with problem of all sorts by legal point, when practicing such as hospitals open, patient care, and medication management etc.

In the medical field, researchers or clinical practitioners demand the highest standards in medical ethics. It means that the impact on human society is so significant. It has caused regression of human disease eradication due to medical research misconduct, and patients' distrust due to over-treatment in clinical practice continues. In order to prevent this, it cannot but emphasize the importance of ethical education for prospective medical personnel. Meanwhile, it is difficult to ensure the economic stability of medical personnel due to intensifying competition in medical fields. Education for the creation of fair profits through rationalization of management is also important. The goal of this course is to create medical personnel with excellent medical ethics and management skills.

Through this course, students study requiring rapid medical field such as carring for emergency etc.

Chuna is manual medical treatment in Korean Medicine. In this class, you can learn the anatomical and physiological basis of musculoskeletal system, especially focused on vertebral system.

The students should visit the Local Korean medical clinic and have a clinic practice. (40hours per week)

Musculoskeletal diseases occupy the majority among the reasons why patients keep visiting Korean medicine clinic. and There is a growing interest in diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal diseases within students. In-depth education on musculoskeletal diseases is required and the education on clinical myology and clinical neurology is necessary, which can be the basis of diagnosis & treatment for various diseases. The main contents will be following: 1) the physiology and pathology of overall muscles and nerves, 2) route of each muscles and nerves, 3) related symptoms, 4) surface anatomy and 5) acupuncture and treatment techniques and these contents aim to improve the capabilities of diagnosis and treatment including professional knowledge, clinical skills, and integrative treatment, which are the graduation capabilities of the College of Korean Medicine

Functional anatomy and kinesiology of joints and muscles are necessary for understanding the musculoskeletal disorders. However, in the curriculum, myology is mainly studied only in anatomy class and has not been taught in relation to practical clinical applications. Therefore, through this class, we will improve our understanding of the occurrence and progress of disease based on myology and learn more the treatment that can be applied in clinical practice to develop the clinical abilities of students. The objective of this class is to learn about the anatomical location, physiology, action and function of the muscles of the human body and to understand the pathology, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders based on myology. The curriculum of this class consists of a general discussion and a detailed three parts divided into upper extremity, lower extremity, and trunk parts. In the general discussion, understanding the overall physiology of the muscles is needed. In the upper and lower extremities, the kinesiologic movements of each joint and musculoskeletal disorders that can be caused by abnormalities in the muscles around the joints. The purpose of the trunk part is to understand the common clinical problem such as cervical pain and back pain and to understand how to treat it based on myology.Through this course, we want to gain a deeper understanding of the physiological and pathological movements of the human body and the diseases caused by these problems through a clinical understanding of myology in the short term, and promote practical clinical capabilities to apply them to clinicians in the long term.
